2020 Button Angel

 Materials:
8-10 white, clear, or off-white flat buttons of various sizes; buttons should have 2 or 4 holes
white pearl bead for head, a little larger than smallest button
flat gold button for halo, a little larger than bead
   24-gauge wire
approx. 5 1/2" to 6" wired ribbon for wings, approx. 1" wide
string for hanger or purchased ornament hanger
  • Cut a long enough piece of wire to go through button stack twice, as well as through head and halo, and leaving enough to make a hook for the hanger.
  • Fold wire in half and thread through two holes of buttons, starting with largest at bottom and gradually decreasing in size.
  • Thread wire through pearl bead and gold button.
  • Use leftover wire above halo to form a small hook for hanger.
  • Fold ribbon with ends meeting in center. Gather and wrap with another piece of wire, allowing enough wire to wrap around neck of angel.
